The late John Brock brings in his milking herd at the end of the day. Only one dairy farm now remains in this area compared with six in the past. The village school, post office and small shop have all gone and even the telephone kiosk vanished overnight. However we still have a bus service although sadly underused as most residents prefer to use their cars. Few use a bicycle or two legs.
